Melaka Famous Chicken Rice Ball is located at the end of Jonker Streets. In normal days, there are already quite a long queue of people to this shop, and double during the weekend and holidays. I went there with a few friend of mine, and we queue up to 30+ minutes to get a seat. The way they take the order is simple, how many people? 1 whole chicken or half? Quite an efficient method to cope with the crowd. I had Chicken Rice Ball and Steam Chicken. Chicken Rice Ball- It is basically chicken rice shaped into ping pong size ball. The balls are very flavorful, slightly moist. It is shaped while it is hot, making it quite soft but compact. Steam Chicken- The chicken is very tender and soft. It is watery though, because they just took it out from the kitchen. But it is ok for me, as the liquid is very tasteful. It is a simple white-cooked chicken, but to cooked it until perfection required a lot of experience. I like the texture very much, it is so soft it that I can tear them apart with my tongue.
