Charcoal Mooncake It’s quite a hype now with recipes using charcoal as the main attraction. This piece of mooncake is pretty straightforward prepared. The pastry skin has been mixed with charcoal together with the flour, that results in the bold black colour. Don’t be intimidated by that as the mooncake taste alright :D The skin still taste but buttery and soft. Encase within is the lotus paste which is quite fragrant, not too sweet. You could also find some traces of pumpkin seeds in it too, if you are lucky. Overall, quite a modest mooncake to go with :D
