Whenever mentioning Dai Sam Yun, all that came to mind would be late night dim sum, and the hot steaming golden salted custard cheese bun with steaming salted custard gravy melting from inside. The shop is located along Jalan Ipoh with many other dim sum shops. It is also a favourite spot for late night dim sum and one would really love the beautiful breeze by night if they don’t mind dining by the roadside right next to the cars buzzing along the road. The thing about this place is that the road side is not directly right next to where the customers would be seated. So all in all, it is still hygienically acceptable. The staffs are really friendly and uncle would explain the menu if one do not read mandarin. They open right about from 6 or 7 onwards till about late at night into midnight hours. They have very fresh prawns in their prawn dumpling, the har kao, and their steaming items are steamed upon ordering when later at night. That reflects a good quality control as they would not have to waste any of their food and at the same time ensuring the best to be served to the customers. That of course would come with a longer waiting time.
