Clear Tom Yam Soup Do not belittle this innocently-looking clear soup, for it could surprise both you and your palate:P It seems to be any ordinary clear soup till you have a sip of it, wow! Sour and spicy are the best word to describe it! No doubt, the soup is enriched with the oceanic wonders like squid, prawns, chicken breast, lemon grass and they are all fresh as you could savour the juiciness and tenderness of the ingredients. The sourness of the soup makes it appetizing and helps bring up the appetite too. The abalone mushroom helps to absorb the essence of the soup and thus, making it flavourful. You won’t feel the spiciness at first, but you could feel the heat gradually as it start to digest in the tummy. It was my first experience like this though, to slowly get my tummy warmed up! Haha. Anyway, the soup for the general spicy fan is totally zesty and wonderful too, but of course, not for the faint-hearted :D Thai Fried Rice If it was not because one cheeky young ‘Boss’, I wouldn’t have known this stall that serves nice Thai Food. They open till late night and for those who suddenly have hunger pangs, then could drop by here for a meal or two. The fried rice was dished up with sufficient ‘Wok Hei’ and is very aromatic. There were side dishes included like prawns, chicken meat, some vegetables and others. It was quite a big portion though, but suffice for 3 pax since it’s not too advisable to have heavy food late at night, hehe. Those ingredients were fresh and juicy, thus, allowing you to savour the sweetness of it satisfactorily :D Fried Seafood Hor Fun Although this Hor Fun is stir-fried, it is not too overly oily which lessen the guilt of having it late one night :P It’s pretty unusual from the normal stir-fried noodles we have seen. Even it is dished out in a plainer presentation, taste wise is still nicely maintained. The Hor Fun is silkily smooth and you could just practically ‘slurps’ in the flat noodle :D Besides that, they are also generous with the ingredients, where lots of chunky fresh seafood are added such as calamari rings, prawns, juicy chicken cutlets and other vegetables too. Overall, the ‘hor fun’ is quite delish and make a quick simple meal.
