Seems like New Tasty Pot Buffet Steamboat has wowed its string of loyal customers with its fresh look at a new nearby location. The environment now is much more spacious and condusive with the interior is air-conditioned while the alfresco is airy. And the barbeque dishes are done conveniently at the windy exterior. This restaurant prides itself with the first ever unique soup base type introduced in Malaysia: ie : Soya Bean Soup and Curry Soya Bean Soup . These are the two highlights among the six types of soup base offered such as HK Satin Porridge. Chong Qing Spicy Soup, Thai Style Tom Yam Soup and Herbal Chicken Soup. I personally enjoyed the herbal soup base as well as the soya bean selection, as I think both broth are pretty unique. The former being very rich in Chinese herbs aroma with red dates in it and the latter is much dilute and tad salty. Note be taken that if the soya bean soup being boiled over time, it could coagulate and then you would be able to treat yourself with some self-made“Tau Fu Fa”, albeit a salty one ^_^ I would say they do have a wide varieties of seafood, ranging from shells, mollusk, crustacean to fish and et cetera. You can find Mud Crabs, Mussels, Bamboo Clams, Lala, Prawns, Escargot and squids, just to name a few. They are all very fresh and the fish fillet is especially sweet and juicy as it absorbs the soup essence. Apart from that, you could also help yourself with the assorted balls (no pun intended :P) like fish and pork balls , ‘Fu Chuks’ , fresh vegetables, seaweed, noodles, some processed dumpling and many more. Another main attraction would be their barbequed Marnie Chicken Wings. I never thought that am gonna get hooked on it after the first try, thanks to the temptation by one of the cheeky friend :D The chicken meat is so tender with the skin is nicely glazed and tad sugary. Occasionally you would also able to enjoy the slight crispiness of the BBQ chicken skin and most importantly, they are all decently grilled and none of them are seriously scorched. So a big kudos to them! Hehe . I really enjoyed them from the bottom of my heart :D
