Asam Laksa | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

Asam Laksa

Asam Laksa It’s another round of having Asam Laksa to try out how it fares compared to the place of origin, Pearl of Orient, hehe. The menu selection over here is not as vast as other eateries, but I guess this somehow helps you to make up your mind pretty easier right? :P The Asam Laksa served here, seems to lack the kick. It is still decently savory, but if were to compared with a good bowl of asam laksa ser ved at Auntie Lora, the latter fares better in terms of taste. Nevertheless, it’s still yummy to go as it isn’t too spicy and the glassy noodles are smooth and springy to the palate too. You could add the accompanied prawn paste sauce to help brings up the aroma. Cendol Luckily the bowl of icy Cendol make it up for a better meal time. This bowl of shaved ice does have a close resemblance of taste with its counterparts served in Penang island. It’s served in a decent portion with adequate ingredients like coconut milk, brown sugar, read beans and last but not least, the green cendol itself. I was actually hoping the green cendol could have been more generously added, then it would be great! It wasn’t too sweet but is tantalizing enough to wet the palate with the aromatic flavours of brown sugar :D
