Humble Beginning just started their business in Stairts Quay Penang last year. Well, the launching of their shop really catch attention and attract crowds. Their shop is stay at the corner area, near to Fruzze Youghout. It fine decorated and occupied with just a few tables. Their crepe cake is well known through online selling before setting up this shop. I tried this cake once when we were celebrating a uni's friend birthday. His GF ordered crepe cake AKA "thousand layer cake" in Mandarin. That was our first time to try this type of cake, we were so surprised to its deliciousness. The multi layer cake and the vanilla cream in between have made the cake taste so different. Besides, the cake is very smooth which have allured us to try more. Khang's GF ordered the 1/2 kg cake and there were more than 10 of us, so each and everyone can only taste a very small slice of the cake. So, the little amount have captured my attention and initiate me to try again. I ordered again myself for my 21st bday. Instead of booking online, I called the PIC in Penang. Well, I was really frustrated that time. There was only one line dealing with booking in Penang area, I had called for several times to reach the person. Well, is okay. When I reached him, the line was not stable, and the person was rude. I was really upset at that time. however, I still decided to purchase the cake as I wanted to give my family members a try on this crepe cake too on my memorial day. In butterworth area, they will send the cake to a Floral Shop in Auto City, Juru. I had to pick it up by myself. I asked my sister for help, and here came another disappointment, they mistakenly gave my cake to another person and they gave me the person cake in exchange. I was totally pissed off at their service, although their cake is really nice. More appropriate to describe the taste of the cake will be, it is nice for small portion. I can't take more than 2 pieces because it is so creamy. I tried a few flavor before and particularly like the vanilla and orea flavor the most.
