Walking under the hot sun, a cold dessert like chendul is perfect. There is one famous teochew chendul stall that whenever i walk past the road, there were lots of people queuing just for a bowl of icy chendol. There was 2 stalls actually, from the same owner but located at different road. What funny is, those who came from other state or country, they will just go for the longer queue stall instead of another. =.= I dabao 2 big chendol home as it was too hot to have it under the sun. The chendol includes red bean, santan and topped with black sugar syrup. Compared to other stalls selling chendol, this want has stronger fragrance of brown coconut sugar. It is a cheap dessert that would definitely affordable as a small bowl of chendol cost only RM 1.20!! If you takeaway "dabao" the chendol, the portion will be bigger and it cost around two ringgit per pack.Why not give it a try?
