Poached salmon with broccoli and potato

Whenever my Penangites kins dropping by KL for a short vacation, IKEA is one of the pit-stop that are not to be missed. More than often, they would end up buying loads of IKEA product to be brought back to Penang. After those tiring shopping, we would always drop by the food court which is located at the highest floor. It seems to be the most convenient to fill up out hungry tummy once after ‘circulating’ the whole gigantic furniture mall :P At this Ikea Restaurant Café, they serves a variety of Western cuisine. You may also find some local delights like nasi lemak, if u want to. And most of the time also, you really need to be patient when come to securing a seat as it’s always that crowded. ~.~ Once settled down, we would start our feast without further ado as we were darn hungry! Hehe…. Poached Salmon. It might appear plain and not much of garnishment, but I suppose the nutritional value was there as the fish was just poached, thus, nutrients remained intact :P The fish was flaky, succulent and nicely soaked in the buttery cream sauce. Sprinkled with some chopped parsley, and added with some boiled potato and blanched broccoli, the dish was ready to tantalize your taste bud. Arriving next was Chicken Leg with Swedish Herb And Lemon Sauce. The chicken tight was kinda large and the meat was tender as well. It’s served with potatoes and carrot, then topped with a creamy savoury sauce. Not sure if the gravy was some kind of chicken stock as there was some sweetness in it. Eventually, IKEA Hot Dog had joined the table :) These sausages were long and were made in Sweden. Each bite was succulent with some pepperish aroma. In addition, they were nicely complemented by mashed potatoes and also coleslaw. Delish indeed! ^^
