Wow! I was kinda shocked when I first sink my teeth into this bread. It was pretty rocky, haha. Only after some info help by Mr Google, then to realize that it’s actually recipe dating back to Provence in France. This type of bread could be seen prepared in either sculpted or slashed in certain pattern just like in this case. It seems to resemble the shape of a huge wide leaf with delicate filling of olives in between. Aside from the minced olive, there were also traces of chilies and other pickled vegetables to be noticed. This combination gives out some kind of piquant taste, which I suppose to be of acquired one, depends on individual. Anyhow, am still a firm advocate of being an adventurous foodie, so it’s still fine, hehe. If you really savour it whole-heartedly, the hard bread somehow blends in well with the unique filling :D Have a good try! ^_^
