Apparently the Pandan Chiffon is really of chiffon type. The cake is really really fluffy and soft with a hint of pandan flavor as well as some eggy taste too. So much so I enjoy soft cake, but somehow, I feel this cake lack the minimum moderate texture a good spongey cake ought to have. It’s tad over porous and basically I feel like biting into more airy portion than a solid cake. As for this Chocolate Chiffon, it’s also very porous with very mild chocolate taste. Now it makes me wonder if all kinds of chiffon bakeries are meant to be this way? But at least, the Durian Chiffon that I got it from Durian Durian kiosk, wasn’t like this soft. If only come chocolate chips were added sparingly in this very light cake, it would have done this bakery some justice in terms of better overall texture.
