Aloha! Finally, we have embarked on another spectacular epicurean at Palazzo, which offers diners a majestic spread of fusion, ranging from Italian, Spanish to Western, against a modern chic setting with warm ambience. This cozy restaurant initially forays as one of the few local wine retailers at Cheras back in 2011, that proves to live up to the expectation of fine wine connoisseurs. Due to the overwhelming responses, they soon venture into F&B as well, with wine being one the special element in its menu. Among the recommended food to start off is Golden Pumpkin Soup for it is made in house without any MSG. Therefore, you could actually taste the original sweetness of the pumpkin itself with a tinge of herb fragrance, which taste like oregano to me, but am not sure. This golden-colored soup is also topped off with a gentle splash of cream and there you go, a delish and hearty soup for the soul. Soon, the first plate of appetizer arrived invitingly. It is the special Spanish Tapas that comes with the tomato salsa seated on salchichon iberico bellota on the bed of fragrantly toasted baguette. The most prominent flavor that left you yearning for more the moment you pop it into your mouth is the intense fragrance of the parsley, alongside the zestful sourness of the mix, which also includes delicately diced tomato, garlic and not forgetting the delicious iberico meat. It’s pretty unique with its mild smokiness with the side being slightly crispy, and to pair it with some cream on the top, is definitely a brilliant idea! It does remind me our oriental smoked meat, but of different flavor overall. Nice! Pate & Crackers Wow, we are awed by this specially designed menu by the restaurant itself. Pate & Crackers is a snack consisting of smoothly ground chicken and goose liver that is served with melba toast. The mini bowl that is seated in the middle of the toastie is actually containing the minced liver and meat which are lightly seasoned. There is even a thin yellowish layer which we suppose coming from the livers. The taste of the goose liver is pretty dominant over the other fowl. It has a very finespun texture, creamy and melts in your mouth easily. I wish I could learn to appreciate this acquire aroma the soonest possible :D There are also other main courses are really worth trying, for instance the Carbonara Pasta which uses white wine too, Slurps!
