Sesame Chicken Mee Sua

Amidst the metropolitan mall of KLCC, there is this Taiwanese cuisine called Kiki Taiwan Cuisine Restaurant. It’s actually under the Fong Lye group and is situated at 4th floor of Suria KLCC. It’s quite catchy with its iconic ‘kitten’ against a pinkish background. It was always that crowded, but luckily we were able to occupy one table that was so happen free up after the previous guest had done with their meal. First to arrive was Taiwan Snow Mountain. It came as a surprise to me as this is my first time seeing such a tall and huge portion of shaved ice as compared to Tong Pak Fu’s version! Haha… The shaved ice has a tinge of longan syrup, if not mistaken, and it just goes well with the vanilla ice cream on the top! Not too sweet thought, that’s the best part. :) Then my favourite milky beverage came, Avocado Milk ! The drink was creamy and milky which is well-mixed with some red bean as well. Love the mild buttery taste of avocado too! ^^ Fried Clam with Hair Gourd Mee Sua. At first I wasn’t so keen on mee sua, but this dish changed my mind! It was so aromatic though its plain appearance. The clams were adequately marinated and this enhances the flavor of the soup. It seems like some wine was added to it but don’t think so…hehe… Sesame Chicken Mee Sua. The mee sua came in a drier version as the accompanied sesame chicken was soupy, so it kind of balanced off. It was fragrant especially when the sesame oil was added and the chicken meat was tender too. Taiwan Style Fried Clams As a appetizer, so called:P, we called for this fried claims, done in the Taiwanese way. It’s definitely the highlight of the meal as it exceed my expectation for the normal fried clams. This one by Kiki was so nicely fried and each clams were infused thoroughly with the ginger gravy. Nice one!
