Rose Tea | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

Rose Tea

The pure white theme is what attracted me initially to drop by for a visit. Like its namesake, the café is decorated with most floral design as in garden surroundings. Some of the table and chair settings are of rattan and wooden material, and they even have those Victorian swing chair. Love it so much! The staffs were courteous and friendly welcoming us upon arrival. Environment was airy and comfortable. However, you may choose the inside section which is air-conditioned if you’re not too keen on al fresco style at its exterior. As soon as we were seated, we flipped through the Gardens-like menu. Kinda spoilt for choices actually, hehe. Anyway, we randomly ordered some of the chef recommended dishes such as Teriyaki Chicken with Asparagus. The presentation was neat and visually appealing. To me, it looks more like a fine dining cuisine of caviar or foie gra, hehe. Anyway, this dish wasn’t too bad. The chicken meat was tender and succulent, which was adequately marinated with herbs. Those chicken fillets are then layered between some crunchy asparagus. These two opposing texture complement each other very well. The dish wasn’t that dry out as it was also drenched with some teriyaki sauce on the top. Just hope that this portion is much generous, haha… The Garden Sandwich I enjoyed this club sandwich very much! It came with 2 sets of sandwich bread, a bowl of French fries, some garden salads and assorted dipping to your preference. The bread which came with grilled chicken fillets as well as some ham with cheese in between, was superb! Apart from the juicy meat, the cheese and ham, when eaten together, gave out a tantalizing enjoyment. It was fragrant and bit crispy, as I think they had slightly pan-fried the ham prior to the sandwich preparation. Rose Tea After sumptuous meal, I always think it’s best to complete with a nice teapot of flower tea. In this case, rose was chosen for its delicate and rosy smell. No sugar was added, thus you may enjoy the real fragrance of flowers and its warmth is always maintained with the help of the cute candle. Nice Victorian dining experience indeed!
