Grill Salmon Steak | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

Grill Salmon Steak

Finished my labwork and Its was super late, taking lrt and bus and I reach there around 4pm. Consider this a late-lunch-early-dinner lo. lolz When I reach the restaurant, straightly I went to the counter and I was invited to have my meal 1st. It was pretty hot weather, the waiter asked me whether I want to sit near the air-conditioner, pretty considerate *thumbs up*. He handed me the menu, and I ordered a Grill Salmon Steak. I didnt order drink though cause I was having cough. Something nice happened later, I overheard the female waiter said in malay “he's coughing, dont want ice" and she served me a warm water *double thumbs up*. Soon my meal is here. Grill Salmon Steak- consisted of salmon, salad with thousand island dressing, jacket potato, a black pepper sauce. The salmon is quite thick, around 1cm, grilled with little seasoning. With a drizzle of lemon simply bright up the dish. It is a bit overcooked though, I was expecting crispy skin, strong-smoked at the outside and raw at the inner part, as that is the essence of salmon. But it is still ok for me. Just one things, A proper way of handling salmon is, the small bones around the meat should be removed leaving the centre spinal bone only. The salad is fresh and the dressing is in the right amount. The jacket potato is nice and moist, eat with little mayo to bring up the flavour. The black pepper sauce is nice and strong, and its a new taste for me, as normally I had black pepper sauce which is in black colour, this time it is kinda mixture of white creamy sauce and black pepper sauce. It is nice but to eat it with the salmon, it is too strong that I can only taste the spicy black pepper. The restaurant is nicely decorated with tang lung, and the CNY music simply cherish the festive season. A very comfy restaurant, and relaxing atmosphere.
