Steam Tapioca | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

Steam Tapioca

In conjunction with Genting Water Festival 2013, Coffee Terrace is not the only restaurant, That offers a variety of Thai's food in Genting...... Resort Cafe, Which is located in First floor of Resort Hotel... Is having a variety of Thai's Dessert to choose from, For their lunch buffet... :) Tab-Tim-Grob aka Crispy Water Chestnut, Is the most common Thai's dessert of all... And it's very crispy and delicious!~ Foi Thong, Which is also known as golden threads, Sounds like some royal thai's dessert to me... First time trying it...... It tastes ok to me...... Won't particularly fancy this food, Won't against it as well.... Gluay Kaeg aka banana fritters.. Taste exactly like our fried banana... :) Khow Neow Plag Lamyai, Which is sweet rice pudding with longan... If you're longan-lover, You'll probably fall in love with this Thai's dessert!~ Man Tom Khing... Sweet potatoes with Ginger Syrup...... Sweet potatoes actually partner well with ginger... Love the taste of it!~ Sangkaya... Don't exactly know what it is made of...... Can't really taste out what it is made of, too!~ Well, of course, Since it's dessert, It's sweet.. :) Thai Man Cheam, Steamed Tapioca.. I didn't really want to try this... As it doesn't look really tempting to me... And I'm not really into tapioca.. :p Initially, My first impression when I saw.... Green rice with Mango?!~ What a weird combination!~ Surprisingly, Sweet rice mango end up to me, My top favourite of Thai's dessert!~ After adding in the sauce, Which taste like coconut + pandan..... It really bring out the aroma of the mango!~ Perfect combination!~ Stay tune.. For more food we had.. During our buffet lunch, @ Resort Cafe..... Operating 11:00am-2:30pm daily, For lunch buffet.....

The Golden Orchid is located in PJ in one of the shop rows in Jalan SS 22. It would be hard to locate them without the GPS, especially with the construction that is going on nearby. And if you are not familiar with that area, it might take you a while to find it. With all the apps and GPS tracking on the smart phones, be rest assure that you’ll find this place in no time. There are lots of parking spaces, and during the night time, it would be difficult to miss the vibrant lighting of the restaurant’s name. Serving oriental Thai cuisine, the flavours of their dishes are very much already tuned to favour the local palate. Starting with their Tom Yam Seafood which sells at RM25 and RM45 for two different sizes respectively, the combination of all flavours in this is complimenting one another so well there is nothing that was excessively over throwing anything other flavour in the soup. It looks trenchantly sour and spicy, but the taste was irresistibly seductive. The seafood is ordinarily usual but they serve quite a bit of their dishes of mainly seafood. Speaking of which, the platter comes in a combo mix of few dishes which is accompanied by this tangy and mildly spicy dipping sauce. Great and perfect for sharing, this Golden Orchid BBQ Combo Platter serves at Rm 68.

Ninja Joe Chuck Burger | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

Ninja Joe Chuck Burger

We Will, We Will 'Pork' You! Ninja Joe, the only fast food restaurant that serves a variety of pork burgers. Currently total of four outlets available in Klang Valley shopping malls - Ninja Joe, The Gardens, Tropicana City Mall, 1 Utama and Setia City Mall. At Ninja Joe, they only serves the best quality ingredients, fresh, wholesome and seriously delicious food with 100% MSG free, no added preservatives and artificial flavoring. I was attracted with the Chuck burger's image at the wall mural, it looks huge and delicious. Thus, I ordered for the Chuck burger set meal that comes with Chuck burger, Shuriken and Lemonade drink. When I unwrapped the Chuck burger, it was relatively small and does not tally with the picture shown. Although it look small but it was heavy loaded with its ingredients - soft bun, minced pork patty, bacon, onion ring, egg, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Overall, the burger was delicious and satisfying. Actually, the Shuriken is croquette of potato and pork, being deep-fried until golden brown. It was very crispy and tasty.

Lum Mee

We came in with high expectation but went out with disappointment. Only the menu was attractive to us. The look of the food was bad and the taste even more worst. The smell of kansui or known as alkaline was strong in the Lum Mee. The curry in curry mee was sour, not really fresh for me.

roasted chicken

Chicken rice ball here is so so even it is famous. Can have try at this restaurant but don't come with high expectation. In fact, its taste was in our expectation as we heard the comments from our friends before. The service here was poor. After the waiter direct us to a table, they just eave us there. No menu, no order. The waiter was standing there and ignore us. We have to go to counter and ask is there any menu and we should order at the counter or wait for the waiter. Of course, the good thing with here was the ambiance. I like the building.

Century Egg Porridge | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

Century Egg Porridge

This is a place selling dessert, dim sum, snacks ,noodles and rice which suitable for lunch , dinner or tea time. I had my first try at the branch here located at ss2. It is air-conditioned restaurant and the price is quite cheap no extra service charge cost. I had the Century egg porridge as i was not too hungry. It has a strong fragrance and taste so delicious. The porridge was topped with crispy You Zha Koay which makes it taste nicer. Not too salty and oily hence its suitable for elders and children as well. My friend ordered this Sze Chuan Dry noodles which is the soft noodles with thick gravy. The sauce of the noodles is a little sour which is quite appetizing, but i feel that they had put too much cooking wine and covered the original taste of the sauce. Besides the main course, they are selling different types of desserts which is one of the attractions for young ones to visit here often at night.

Rose Lotus Seed Paste | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

Rose Lotus Seed Paste

Purple Cane Tea Restaurant serve varies of dishes cooked with different type of teas. The tea taste blended with the dish perfectly, you can't really taste the tea. However, it's always the best that you enjoy a cup of nice tea after had a full meal. Stir fried lotus root and water chestnut with tea (RM15) is cooked with Long Jing Green Tea. The lotus root is very crunchy and various vegetables are cooked in this dish. Thai-style spicy salsa beancurd in tea sauce (RM18) is cooked with Lychee Black Tea. The beancurd is crispy on the outside and smooth from the inside. The thai chili sauce is very appetizing as well. The peanut on top of the beancurd is definitely a plus to the dish. Steamed slice fish with mashed ginger in tea sauce (RM22) is steamed with Jasmine tea. The mashed ginger is slightly bitter and the fish is not fresh enough. But overall it's still OK. For dessert, we have ordered Green tea glutinous rice balls with black sesame and peanuts, Rose Lotus Seed Paste, Spring Romance Pudding and Cold Winter Jelly. Each of the dessert cost RM 5. The taste is average, but I would strongly recommend Cold Winter Jelly. It's cooling in its low profile way.

Oreo Milk Tea | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

Oreo Milk Tea

This time I used the Groupon voucher for this drinks, buy the voucher RM10 and you can get value RM20 drinks. This brand comes from Taiwan. They sell on healthy fruit drinks too. Drinks: Matcha Red Bean Milk Tea - RM5.90 Already reduce the sugar content to half, yet the red bean still very sweet! The red bean is really nice but when it mix with the green tea, I feel quite strange for me. Overall, it's still ok. Red bean lover can try on this. Oreo Milk Tea - RM5.90 Whenever there is a chance to try for Oreo drink, I sure will order for it, haha. But the Oreo they blended it into very tiny piece, so I hardly can taste for the Oreo. Tomato Pineapple - RM6.90 This is their top sales there. This drink ordered by my friend and I requested for a try. Indeed, this is the tastiest drinks among the 3 drink. The tomato they using is not the normal tomato but they using the small tomato to blend with pineapple. Service: The time we order for Matcha Red Bean Milk Tea, he suggests us to reduce the sugar content because the red bean is very sweet. Due to this, I add more marks for their service because he is very thoughtful. Worth try if you looking for a healthy drink.
