Cheese Roast Wild Duck Breast with Honey Orange Puree | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

This restaurant is located right beside KK Mart in 1Shamelin. The environment of this restaurant is decent with funky wall designs. Unfortunately it does not match the waiters uniforms. They provide indoor and outdoor seats. First stop is the service, rather disappointing to see many food on the menu is unavailable. Waiter wise rather poor as it gets annoying when they start to pressure the customers to decide by 3 of them looking at us when we are going through the menu. Initially I wanted to order the Green Tea Red Bean Ice Latte. However I only got to know that the drink is not available AFTER all the main courses are served. Poor service here. So I changed it to Mocha Banana IB (RM 8.80) which IB stands for Ice Blended. If you are expecting an ice blended drink then you might be disappointed as the texture feels more like a milk shake drink. Taste wise, nothing much to shout about. However I must say the glass that they use is rather different. Next is the main course which is the Cheese Roast Wild Duck Breast with Honey Orange Puree. First impression of it was again disappointing. The piece of meat is about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide which is rather small and unsatisfying and it cost a hefty RM 20.90. Taste wise it's rather bland as I believe the meat is not marinated on the Honey Orange Puree sauce instead it is just poured on. The only thing I can compliment is the texture which is really good. As you slice the meat open, you can see 2 layers of chewy meat. Overall, this place seems to promote more on their beer selection rather than the food and they surely need to put more heart into their food. Think twice before ordering anything.
