There is this famous raja uda tomyam mee located at Butterworth. I make a special effort to turn up far from Penang island for this Penang-renowned tomyam mee. It is located at a grungy area beside the raja uda main road and its kind of hard to find as the stall is obscured by a large parking lot. People were queuing and self-servicing for their favourite ingredient to be added to the tomyam soup. There are plenty of choice to choose from and what you cant miss is their crispy fried fish. You can see one of the proprietor frying a massive amount of fresh fish in a large wok filled with hot oil. After picking up a heaping bowl of seafood and vegetables i like, what i have to do is to past the bowl to the proprietor of the tomyam stall. They will cook all the food in a bowl with tomyam soup and serve to your table. A nice place to visit for people who loves tomyam.
