Clam Dim Sum Restaurant is really my favourite dim sum house. They offer the freshest and nicest dim sum ever. Thought it is quite a distance from Petaling Jaya, but whenever I crave for dim sum, here is where I will go. There are a few dim sum that is a must order for me here, which include the JI WO BAO, HAR GAO, fried prawn dim sum, SIEW MAI. JI WO BAO- This is a really special dim sum. A combination of LO MAI KAI, glutinous rice with bun. There are salted egg yolk, mushroom, chicken meat in it. They are served hot. The bun is sweet, and the filling is salty. Such a great combination. HAR GAO- it is basically a prawn dim sum. Clan Dim Sum house do use fresh prawn in their dim sum, as the prawn are crunchy and taste nice. Unfresh prawn would have a soft texture with fishy stagnant smell. Fried Prawn Dim Sum- As I said, they use fresh prawn, so any prawn based dim sums are my favourite. Fried dim sum when eat with little mayo, taste the best. They serve the mayo generously. SIEW MAI- the siew mai is nice too. The taste are fresh and the texture are chewy. YU GOK- It is a yam with char siew as filling. I like the crispy and yam-rich-flavor skin. They served 2 pieces of this delicious in a plate, and normally I can only manage to finish 1 only because the taste is too rich.
