Lao Sha Bao | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

Lao Sha Bao

Jin Xuan Hong Kong Restaurant is one of the most favorable dim sum house in Malaysia. There is one branch in Damansara Uptown. I went there during the weekend, and it was pretty occupied. Waited for 10+ minutes before I get a seat. They served the steam dim sum upon ordered, whereas the fried type, they will served it from table to table. I had quite a few steam dim sum which include Lao Sha Bao, Har Kao, Siew Mai, Char Siew Bao, and Fried Prawn Pocket. Lo Mai Kai- The glutinous rice is a bit over cooked, the texture is soft. There are a piece of mushroom, chinese bacon, few chunk of pork and the sauce. It was very flavorful, and rich in taste. Char Siew Bao- Thick skin, and quite an amount of filling. Im not so into the filling, cause it is finely minced char siew and I prefer chunked. The skin is slightly sweet, and goes very well with the char siew filling. Steam Dim Sum- The big size dim sum really suit me. The taste is very fresh and the texture of fresh ingredient really give the crunch to the dim sum, especially the prawn. Fried Dim Sum- This dim sum is fried, and keep warm. When it was served, it is still crunchy. The prawn is very fresh and with just little seasoning, this dim sum is just perfect.
