Kelp soup | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

Kelp soup

It took use about an hour taking detour to Shah Alam in a puzzle as we are not that familiar with this area. But glad we still found it finally at a little small business centre. This Gangnam-themed restaurant reminds me of my stay in Korea last year. The eatery has a cosy and neat interior décor, with several scenic views of Korea paintings hanging on the wall to spice up the environment. They serve halal Korean cuisine, so our Malay friend could also enjoy their meal over here too. The steamboat is big, with assorted ingredients like Dumpling, scallions, bean curds, enoki mushroom, Kimchi and many more. It is meant to be Kimchi steamboat. The soup base is savory and not too spicy. Then our meal is also accompanied by the Korean signature rice nectar drink that comes with a tinge of ginger-like taste. It’s refreshing and thirst-quenching. Overall, the food here is pretty normal as I expected more authentic Korean fare. For instance, they could have used Korean Manduk instead of replacing with local dumpling.
