Janchi Guksu noodles | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

Janchi Guksu noodles

One of the latest addition to the ever mushrooming Korean restaurants in the metropolis is Bulgogi Brothers, which is located conveniently at Pavillion KL. The interior décor I would say to be more of a cultural fusion with wooden furniture as the main theme. Environment is conducive and caters to varieties of group. One of the hors d’oeuvre that fascinates me in this cold plate of nutritious gems, which I suppose, would usually see at Japanese dining place more often, especially the edaname. They are very chunky and of medium soft, with some mild saltiness to compliment it otherwise, bland taste from boiling with salt water. Surprisingly, there is also some milk buttery taste which is actually very good. Besides, the sweet potato is also soft with natural sweetness, which is also done just nice and thus, not too mushy. As for the corns, somehow I think it thinks its bit dry :) As usual, before the main dish come, banchan is always served to entertain the guest beforehand, such as this one, laid out aesthetically. Just the sight of them is already a pleasing one! ^_^ There are marinated lotus root, some leafy greens with sesame and also sweet potato salad. The former is a tad too hard for me. It taste sweet, most probably is seasoned with sweet kind bean sauce, whilst the greens are fragrantly stir-fried with rich sesame taste! One special item that I feel worth sharing out is the sweet potato salad. This sundae-look banchan is so soft and flavourful with its natural sweetness of the tuberous fruit. You may also feel the bites of carrots, some scallions and other minced greens as well. Yum yum! Janchi Guksu noodles Enough of enjoying bibimbap all the time, so giving the noodles range a try could be a fresh thing I think :D Here we have Janchi Guksu noodles. It seems a bit plain and looks like mee hoon soup, but is served in a golden bowl which is quite amusing to the visual sense :D The clear soup itself is quite bland too, but it got improved tremendously when some kimchi slices are mixed into it. With the addition of seaweed as well, it helps sweeten up the soup a bit and the cucumber add some texture to it. As for the dried bean curd skin, it’s savory when eaten with the noodles and after soaking awhile in the soup. Overall, it’s quite a healthy diet I would say :D
