chrysanthemum tea | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

chrysanthemum tea

Was craving for dimsum and Mr Google help me found this restaurant. As they were having a promotion, which are the dimsum buffet for RM20, me and my friend just give it a try. We find a hard time finding this shop, because we are not familiar with this area and it was a newly open restaurant. The signboard is not obvious, and small. Asatei used organic prawn as their main ingredient, together with organic pork and other ingredient. Honestly, This does not concern me, as organic or not, as long as the food taste good, it is a good ingredient. The restaurant is quite empty though it was a sunday morning. We were seated, and we start ordering the dimsum. We had so many things, as It was our brunch of the day. The dim sum variety is a lots, but I would like to recommend a few type. Prawn based dimsum- these include Har Kao and others. I like prawn, and this restaurant really use fresh prawn to make their dim sum. The prawn are crunchy and taste great. Thought the seasoning is quite strong, but the natural sweetness of the prawn was not covered by it. Fried Based dimsum- They fried the dimsum and served it hot. It is hot and crispy at the outside and steamy soft at the inside. There is 1 type of friend dim sum I like the most. It is in a pocket shape, and the filling is salad with prawn. The ingredient they used for the salad include prawn, apple, pineapple, peach, and some crunchy vege. Bun- I do like the char siew pao, because the skin is thin and the filling is rich with char siew pork. Others include the fried radish cake, and chee cheong fun is so so for me. The fried radish cake is oily, but they are fried to perfection. The beansprouds are still crunchy. The chee cheong fun is thin layered, with some prawn filling. Nothing special though. The egg tart is quite nice. Crispy skin but soft at the inside, But the taste is quite normal
