Original Kayu Nasi Kandar started out with a stall at a coffee shop in SS2 Chow Yang here back in 1974 and grew to become one of the most popular “Mamak” restaurants in Klang Valley and Penang. There are 6 branchs in Klang Valley. It is a halal & 24hrs opened restaurant. It is located at petrons, Ampang, next to the MaxValue. I order chicken Nasi Kandar, including fired chicken in sweet sauce, vegetable, rice, Indian curry sauce and fried shrimp cake. I like the sweet chicken and the Indian fried vegetable. The fried shrimp cake is not crisp at all. In fact, Nasi Kandar has a very rich taste. If you go to a Indian restaurant, you must try the Teh Ais. It is really nice. What a perfect tea and milk combination. I also recommend their Mango Lasy. It is a mango yogurt drink. The drink is very dense with strong mango flavor. But the price is not cheap.
