Onigiri may be easily translated as Japanese Rice Balls. But, the word 'Onigiri' can also be literally described as 'taking hold of with your hands' i.e. the process of holding or shaping the rice balls into triangle or oval shapes, with or without fillings and wrapped with toasted seaweed. At the Sumo Onigiri, they are the only fast food restaurant that serving healthy and delicious Onigiri with various choices and fusion onigiri. I have visited Sumo Onigiri Kuchai Lama outlet and excited to have utilized the JoinMe voucher to taste for the best onigiri in town. D15 Eda Grilled Salmon Onigiri Set is under Fusion Onigiri category that was serves with Eda Grilled Salmon Onigiri, mashed potato, chawanmushi and miso soup. This fusion onigiri with grilled salmon and edamame (Japanese Grand Soybean) topped with wasabi sauce was very delightful and delicious. Meanwhile, the cold mashed potato was very tasty too. The chawanmushi was quite plain, but it goes well with the miso soup that was slightly salty. Overall, I have had a great new experience tasting the unique Japanese traditional Onigiri here.
