One of the Serai Restaurant branch is located at Lower Ground of Empire Shopping Gallery. Serai offers an excellent range of Malay, Thai, Western, Fusion and Desserts. It has simple decor, well-lit with clean lines accented with greenery and fresh flowers, makes for a pleasant and comfortable dining experience. Their signature dishes include Serai Platter, Steamed Fish with Lime Sauce, Middle Eastern Medley and Nasi Kerabu. We have ordered half dozen of Chicken Satay as our starter. The meat is so tender ad juicy, deep inside the special made satay sauce, made it even more delicious. Here comes our main dishes, Deep Fried Crispy Brinjal with Serai Spice, Kangkung Belacan and Steam Fish with Lime Sauce. I would recommend the fried brinjal as it is really crispy and will bring up your appetite. We have ordered one of their signature drink, Serai Iced Tea (lemon sorbet, lemongrass extract and a hint of fresh mint). This drink is so refreshing after the heavy meal. Finally, we have ordered some desserts, Chocolate Lava Cake, Pandan Banan Fritters and Berry Pavlova . I would highly recommend the Pavlova, the texture is so special, which it is hard to describe here. The price certainly is expensive, but i think is worth it since they are particular about serving good quality, fresh and tasty food. They also pay attention to maintaining a high level of consistency both in their food and in their service.
