Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant is my choice of lunch today. As usual, in a korean restaurant, they will serve side dishes to the customer upon ordering their meal. Somehow, I am totally disappointed with the side dishes. Marinated Black Bean- This is too salty, thought there are little sweetness in the sauce, but the flavour was too salty to be eaten directly. The bean is not cooked, hard to chew on Marinated Vege- A bit too oily for me, and lack in taste Fried Bamboo Shoot- Not well cooked, as the raw taste is still strong, though I like the crunchy texture. Salad- I think this is the most satisfying side dish. Simple salad with pink colour dressing. The taste is similar with mayo, but slightly more sour. Fried Bean Sprout- Overcooked, soggy, and lack in flavour. Kimchi Radish- radish marinated kimchi style. they are overly spicy. Yet, I like the juicy radish, they are still crunchy. Marinated carrot- A reddish carrot is marinated into black, you can imagine the saltiness of this side dish. No texture at all, the carrot is just simply too salty. Apart from the saltiness, i like the little sweetness in the sauce. They are of the same sauce with the marinated black Bean. Kimchi- I should say this is the most spicy kimchi I ever had. It is overly spicy that Its hard to eat it straightly. I had to mixed it with rice to ease down the spiciness.
