Snowflake is probably one of the first few in the country that is responsible with perking up the whole Taiwanese dessert trend. Being one of the first few, many would have put them as the benchmark for comparisons. While new and fresh, they might have been the one capturing hearts and palate of many young foodies. Especially in the climate of our country when the temperature is obviously warm all year long. Anytime is a great time for a bowl of those flavoured shredded ice with many fancy toppings on top of their famous taro balls. What is unique is probably their chewy texture of those taro balls. Taiwanese have acquired a unique palate and liking to anything that is chewy. And apparently so is the Malaysians. I quite fancy their grass jelly, and some of their beverages. But I really think that they could go a little easier with the sugar.
