Mango Rice | JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia

Mango Rice

Came across this restaurant by accident, after getting down from Imbi Monorail Station. They served very authentic thaifood which cost rm5 per plate. I had a Kerabu Soo Hoon, Tomyam noodle and Mango Rice. This restaurant are managed by a few thailand youngster. Kerabu Soo Hoon- Soo Hoon or glassy noddle is soak in hot water to soften it, then mixed with some chilis and lime. The waiter mixed everything in a wooden bowl. served with prawn, crab stick, it is a simple dish but it taste very nice. The sour, spicy is just enough to wake the tongue up. TomYam Noodle-The soup is surprisingly taste like chili sauce, served with prawn, crab stick and some noodle. Nothing special about this dish. Mango Rice- This is really my all time favourite. I will sure had this when I came here. They served it with 2 type of glutinous rice, original and pandan flavoured, 2 big piece of mango and coconut milk. I like the pandan flavoured rice the most. It is natural pandan flavoured and goes very well with the mango and coconut milk. The creamy coconut milk with little sweetness, sweet mango with little sourness, and the chewy glutinous rice compliment each other. It is a small shop at the corner, few tables and fans, stuffy environment but the food is worth it.
